Correcting Missing Teeth for a Stunning Smile

At Dental Health Care Associates, we pride ourselves on being able to offer all types of dental implant placement. Thanks to our extensive experience and training within this field, we are also able to perform the entire dental implant process right here in our Collins Street dental practice.

The development of dental implants has revolutionised dental health care and restored the smiles of people all over the world. If a missing tooth or teeth are affecting your smile, you can now rest easy knowing that our dental implant procedure provides a safe, aesthetically-pleasing, and highly-durable solution to this problem. In fact, when proper oral health and hygiene is maintained, dental implants are expected to last a lifetime.

What Does the Dental Implant Process Involve?

During your initial implant consultation, our dental health care professional will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and mouth. This may also include a full set of radiographs to ensure there is sufficient bone structure and gum thickness to support your implant.

Our dental implants are developed from medical grade titanium and act as a substitute for the missing tooth’s root. Once placed in the jawbone, the implant provides a solid foundation to which a crown or bridge may be secured. After placement, your implant is left to bond with your jawbone, a process that may take several months, during which time the dentist can fit a temporary crown or bridge (acting as a tooth). This not only allows your mouth to function normally, but also helps you to retain the appearance of a natural smile.

Once the implant site has healed, your temporary tooth is removed and replaced with your new, permanent tooth. Within as little as two appointments, dental implants help you achieve a rejuvenated, healthy, and natural-looking new smile.

Schedule a Consultation

Depending on your current oral and overall health, the process of receiving your implant, bonding with your jawbone and receiving your new teeth can take anywhere between 3 – 6 months. Our team will be able to give you a more concise estimation after your initial consultation.
